As part of experiencing French life, language and culture for their course, fifty eight of our year 10 and 11 GCSE French students recently spent four days in the Opal Coast, France.

The students had an immersive language experience, where the wonderful animateurs enabled them to practise real-world French language skills in various settings. The students completed treasure hunts, ordered food and completed problem-solving tasks all in French.

They also benefitted from several cultural experiences, such as visiting a bakery and learning about its history in French, learning about French chocolate making, and visiting a farm. The students found the visit gave them the confidence to speak French to native speakers and really enriched their language-learning experience.
