East Leake Academy, part of the Diverse Academies Learning Partnership, has retained its ‘Good’ rating following an inspection by Ofsted.

Ofsted visited the academy on 15 and 16 October 2019 to undertake a section 8 inspection – a visit carried out within ‘Good’ rated schools to ensure standards have been maintained since the last inspection date.

In its feedback report, Ofsted commented that ‘pupils are happy and enjoy coming to school’ and that they ‘achieve well, and are prepared by the school to be active citizens effectively’.

Both the provision within the curriculum and an ‘active’ extra-curricular programme were mentioned, with inspectors stating that ‘the curriculum supports pupils’ personal development well’ and that ‘teachers provide opportunities for pupils to broaden their experiences’.

Leadership of the academy was also recognised with inspectors commenting that East Leake Academy leaders ‘are keen for all pupils to do as well as possible’. The academy’s governing board was also praised as being ‘committed to the school’ and that they ‘play an active part in ensuring that every pupil achieves their best’.

Safeguarding at the academy was judged to be effective.
