Following an inspection by Ofsted on 1-2 October 2024, we are delighted that East Leake Academy was judged to be ‘good’ across all categories: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management and sixth form provision. This consistent grading is a testament to the high standards we uphold across the academy and the positive learning environment we have cultivated.
In its feedback report, Ofsted commented: “This school fosters an environment where all staff are dedicated to achieving the very best for their pupils. School leaders have clearly communicated the school’s core values, aiming for all pupils to feel empowered, respected and cared for. Pupils study a wide range of subjects. The school has high aspirations for all pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).”
Inspectors acknowledged the dedication of our staff in fostering a safe and inclusive environment, with high aspirations for all students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
Our students’ engagement and behaviour were also commended. Inspectors observed a purposeful atmosphere in lessons where students respect their peers and teachers. This positive behaviour is reinforced by our values-based approach, ensuring that our students are not only achieving academically but are also growing as respectful and responsible individuals.
The report highlighted our personal development programme as a key strength. This programme covers essential topics such as careers, healthy living, and relationships, equipping our students for life beyond school and fostering critical thinking. Students have shared that these lessons provide them with valuable insights into the world, with discussions on equality, faith, and culture helping to create an inclusive environment. This focus on holistic development ensures that our students are well-prepared for future challenges, both academically and personally.
