Year 13 leavers’ celebration
The year 13 leavers’ celebration at East Leake Academy was a vibrant and heartfelt event that commemorated the students’ achievements and cherished memories. Held just before prom, the celebration was filled with laughter and reflection as fun and memorable awards were handed out, recognising the unique qualities and contributions of each student.

Isobel: ‘For coping with six years of being taught English by Mrs Slack and still enjoying it!’
Jake: ‘For leading the sixth form football team such amazing success this year. Or maybe not.’

Pavlo was awarded ‘student of the year’
Pavlo: “For his outstanding contribution to sixth form life, being a role model student and for being the politest and most welcoming ambassador for East Leake Academy.”
Pavlo’s dedication and kindness have left an indelible mark on the school community. He consistently went above and beyond, always ready to lend a hand and make everyone feel welcome.

A delicious farewell
No celebration is complete without good food and good conversation. Students and staff shared stories and enjoyed the buffet, making for a relaxed and joyous gathering. The festivities continued with a magical prom night.
Prom: A night under the stars
The momentum continued for prom; an evening meticulously planned by the students themselves. A special mention goes to Dolly, whose exceptional organisational skills and leadership ensured a magical night for everyone.
The theme for the prom was “starry night,” set against the enchanting backdrop of a river terrace. The scene was straight out of a fairytale, with twinkling lights and elegant décor.

The night was filled with dancing and laughter. A professional photographer captured the glamour and joy of the evening, ensuring that everyone had a keepsake.
Student-led awards
In keeping with the spirit of the event, students took the initiative to create and present awards to each other and teachers. These peer-nominated awards were in the theme of Mr Men books and celebrated the unique qualities and contributions of their classmates.
