Reflecting on our open evening success

The open evening on Wednesday was not only our biggest turn out to date, but it was also filled with a variety of engaging activities and interactive experiences across departments. Our year 11 photography students had a fantastic time running the photo booth. They utilised their skills to capture fun, candid moments as attendees posed with props, resulting in a collection of vibrant, memorable photos. It was great opportunity for the students to showcase their talents, and they did an outstanding job ensuring everyone had a great time in front of the camera.

Another highlight of the evening was the Master Chef experience carried out by our talented year 7 students. The competition for best dish added even more excitement to the event, with members of our leadership team stepping in as judges. After tasting each carefully crafted dish, they awarded the winning title to Osprey house for their outstanding creations of Greek dishes.

Throughout the evening, we received positive feedback from parents and carers. Many expressed how impressed they were with the event and how they could genuinely feel the passion and dedication our staff have for their subjects and the academy. It’s always wonderful to hear that the hard work and enthusiasm our teachers pour into their classrooms is being recognised and appreciated by our community.

Beyond the fantastic activities and presentations, it was the genuine sense of community that stood out. Parents and carers took the opportunity to chat with teachers, ask questions and explore all that our academy has to offer. It was clear that everyone who attended was not only curious about our academic programs but also excited to be part of our supportive and passionate learning environment.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to all the staff, students, and volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the evening such a success. Your dedication is what helps make events like these possible and we couldn’t have done it without you!

To all the parents, carers, and future students who came to visit, thank you for taking the time to attend and for your enthusiasm. Your support is invaluable, and we hope the evening gave you a great insight into what makes our academy such a special place to learn and grow. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!
