On Friday 8th May, we said farewell to our year 13 students with a special afternoon tea celebration event.

As this year group chose not to have a traditional prom, their afternoon tea became an important opportunity for students to come together and celebrate the end of their time at the academy before beginning their A level exams.

Students enjoyed a relaxed afternoon filled with delicious scones, sweet treats and plenty of laughter as they spent valuable time together reflecting on their journey through sixth form. The event also gave students the chance to thank their teachers and celebrate one another through a series of fun and heartfelt certificates awarded by both staff and peers, alongside class awards.

A huge congratulations also goes to our students of the year, Sophie and Amiyah, in recognition of their outstanding contributions during their time at East Leake Academy.

We are incredibly proud of everything our year 13 students have achieved and the positive impact they have made within our school community. While it is always difficult to say goodbye, we are excited to see what the future holds for each and every one of them.

As they move on to university, apprenticeships, gap year opportunities and the next stage of their journeys, we wish them all the very best for the future and every success in their upcoming examinations.
