Congratulations to our sixth form! 🎉
We’re incredibly proud to share that our sixth form and pastoral lead for sixth form, Mrs Slack, have received the Register and Be a Lifesaver Education Programme (R&Be) Award in recognition of the academy’s ongoing support for the charity ASSET, the Adrian Sudbury Schools’ Education Trust.
Adrian Sudbury was 27 years old when he sadly died of leukaemia. It was Adrian’s last wish that every 16 to 18 year old be educated about stem cell, blood, and organ donation.
Each year, East Leake Academy sixth form invites ASSET to deliver their powerful Register and Be a Lifesaver talk to our year 12 students, an opportunity that helps raise awareness and potentially saves lives.
We’re so proud that our students’ commitment to R&Be has been recognised and the academy is honoured to accept the award.
