Students at East Leake Academy – part of Diverse Academies Trust – are celebrating another year of fantastic GCSE results today. This year’s outcomes see students achieving excellent attainment averaging a grade 5 at GCSE, with exceptional performance in English language and English literature. 76% of students secured a grade 4 or above in English and mathematics.

Exceptional results were awarded to David Slack who achieved an impressive seven 9s in biology, chemistry, physics, English literature, geography, maths and further maths. Joining David’s success is Imogen Jamieson who achieved three 9s in English language, German and history. Both David and Imogen will be taking up A levels at East Leake Academy sixth form from September and we wish them the best in their next steps.

Celebrations continue for Lorena Thorley and Emma Atkinson who both achieved fantastic results. Lorena is delighted with her seven 9s for biology, business, chemistry, English language, English literature, drama and media. Whilst Emma delights in 9s for biology and chemistry, and 8s in English language, literature and physics. Both Lorena and Emma will joining East Leake Academy sixth form from September to take up A levels.

Another pair celebrating is Abdhullah Hilmy and Jacob Widdowson. Abdullah is ecstatic with his two 9s in maths and physics and four 8s for English language, further maths, biology and computing. Jacob is proud to have achieved a grade 9 in maths and four 8s for biology, science, English literature and German. Jacob said: “I’m so pleased and really excited to start at at sixth form in September.”

Special mentions go to Jack Sully, Delasi Kuzoe, Georgie Fettes and Joe Pirnie who have demonstrated remarkable academic progress over the five years.
